The delightful blend of strawberries and rhubarb creates a refreshing and balanced cocktail with a hint of mint and a splash of citrus. A vibrant sip of summer in every glass.
Ingredients

½ oz The Spirit of Milano

1 ½ oz The Spirit of Bourbon
- 1 ½ oz strawberry rhubarb syrup*
- ¾ oz lime juice
- 2 dashes of orange or rhubarb bitters
- ¼ oz aquafaba
- ground black pepper
- 1 pound of strawberries
- 1 pound of rhubarb
- 1 cup of water
- 1 cup of white sugar
- 5 slices peeled ginger root
- 1 lime – zested and juiced
*Strawberry/Rhubarb Syrup
Method
In a shaker add all the ingredients, except the club soda, and quick shake with ice.
Strain into an ice filled highball glass, and top with soda.
Garnish with a pinch of black pepper and a mint sprig.
*To make the strawberry/rhubarb syrup.
Stem and half the strawberries.
Chop the rhubarb into 1” pieces.
Put everything into a medium saucepan and add the water and sugar.
Bring to a boil and simmer for 20 mins or until the fruit has fallen apart.
Let it steep and cool in the pan.
- Strain out the fruit using a fine mesh strainer or a piece of cheesecloth inside a sieve.
- Let gravity do its work here to get more syrup.
Save the rhubarb and strawberry solids to put on ice cream or your toast in the morning! It will stay good in the fridge for up to 3 weeks.
