How are Free Spirits® made?

How do you make Free Spirits?

Through a process called Distillate Reconstruction, we source natural, real ingredients like American White Oak, European Juniper, and Mexican Blue Agave, then distill their essence and reconstruct the unique nose, flavor notes, and mouthfeel of the world’s great liquors.

Where the alcohol would have been, we infuse b-vitamins for that little something extra. We believe in constant improvement and are always working to improve the quality and flavor of our products. We love drinking Free Spirits and we hope you do too.

Are Free Spirits alcohol-free?

Free Spirits are non-alcoholic which is defined by the FDA as being less than 0.5% abv.

Free Spirits clock in around 0.2% abv which is about the same as orange juice or a ripe banana.

Fun fact: soy sauce is between 1% and 2% abv.

Where are Free Spirits made?

We are proudly made in the USA 🇺🇸

Where does the burn come from?

🌶️ Please note: Free Spirits contain capsaicin, a natural component in chili peppers, to simulate the warming effect of alcohol.

Are you sure it's non‑alcoholic?

Yeah, we know. In a well constructed cocktail, it's pretty hard to tell the difference. But yes, all of our products are non‑alcoholic.

What do the vitamins do?

There's a feeling that comes with a cocktail - a little boost, a little something something that just makes you feel good - that's what the b-vitamins are for. And why not? Cocktails with benefits.

How do I use Free Spirits®?

Can I consume Free Spirits while pregnant or breastfeeding?

Our products are non-alcoholic and enjoyed by many pregnant women, but we always recommend checking with your primary healthcare provider before adding something to your diet.

How do I mix a non-alcoholic cocktail?

For a non-alcoholic cocktail, simply replace your favorite spirit 1:1 with Free Spirits.

What if I am not ready to go totally zero proof?

That's cool - there are plenty of ways to use Free Spirits.

For a low-proof cocktail, split the base 50/50 with Free Spirits & it's boozy cousin. Dial it up or down at will.

You can also alternate cocktails - one with the full strength stuff, the next with Free Spirits. However it fits you - we just want to provide a way to enjoy your favorite cocktails without the stuff that too much alcohol may bring to the party.

Free Spirits puts you in control.

What does "Mindful Drinking" mean?

We think of it as just being more aware, being mindful of what you are drinking, and how much of it. It can be the beginning of drinking differently and we know that no two people are the same - but everyone is welcome at our bar - we have a seat for everyone.

How do I store it?

Once opened, store in a cool, dark place (sounds like a hipster bar) - refrigerate for best results, but do not freeze. Best if poured within 3 months of opening.

Wait, this Free Spirits cocktail I just made has me feeling pretty good.

Cocktails are rad - maybe there's a placebo effect, maybe it's the b-vitamins - maybe it's the wonder of a great cocktail. Isn't that what you were after in the first place? Enjoy the feeling.
