Ingredients

2 oz The Spirit of Tequila (pre-chilled*)
1 oz Espresso (cooled)
0.5 oz Coffee Syrup**
- Ice
Coffee Beans (for garnish)
Method
Add all ingredients to a shaker with ice
Shake well
Fine strain into a chilled martini glass
Garnish with coffee beans
Recipe Note
*Pre-chilling the ingredients minimizes dilution during shaking.

**Coffee Syrup
It's a 1:1 syrup of strong coffee or espresso and sugar.
Ingredients
- .5 cup brewed coffee (strong or espresso)
- .5 cup sugar (white, cane, or demerara for richness)
Method
- Brew a strong cup of coffee or pull a few espresso shots.
- While the coffee is still hot, stir in the sugar until fully dissolved.
- Let it cool, then store in a sealed container in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
