Whether or not you're in the path of totality, get prepared for the cosmic display with your eclipse glasses and this striking Black Sun Margarita.
Ingredients
- 2 ½ oz The Spirit of Tequila
- 2 oz Fresh squeezed blood orange juice
- 1 oz Fresh lime juice
½ tsp Agave nectar
¼ tsp Activated charcoal
Barspoon of vanilla extract
Turbinado sugar/salt mix for rimming the glass
Method
- Rim a rocks glass with the sugar/salt mix and fill with ice
Add all ingredients except activated charcoal to a lightly iced shaker
- Short shake (so as not to over dilute)
- Strain into the glass
- Stir in the activated charcoal and watch your own private eclipse as the liquid turns black
- Garnish with a blood orange wheel
